Lanesville is the quiet home to many small coves and beaches of Gloucester perfect for those trying to avoid the bustle of busy Wingaersheek and Good Harbor Beaches.  This quieter area of town often sports unique ocean views as it travels along Gloucester’s outer coast line.  Lanesville has its unique downtown area with a few shops, post office, and art galleries.  This small quaint part of town is perfect for those looking to have all of Gloucester’s attractions a short car ride away.

Central

Downtown Gloucester is an exhilarating place to be all year round.  In the summer it hosts many events and the local restaurants offer fine dining and an exciting nightlife.  This small town’s central location is great for younger home buyers and mature buyers alike.  Everything from the train station, shops, bus routes, restaurants, ocean, banks, parks, and grocery stores is within walking distance anywhere downtown. The city itself is at your fingertips.

Annisquam

East Gloucester

Take the tour of East Gloucester starting with the most famous of the Gloucester beaches, Good Harbor Beach, East Gloucester is an excellent area for any family or couple.  As you pass by Good Harbor beach, Gloucester’s backshore sits overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  East Gloucester’s backshore offers stunning ocean front luxury properties.  Just as the back shore comes to an end, small Niles Beach sits.  With a view of Boston on a clear summer day Niles Beach is perfect for those looking for a quieter scene than Good Harbor. The tour continues with Rocky Neck Art Colony that hosts numerous art galleries, restaurants, and beautiful views.  Finally the tour of East Gloucester can end with Bass Rocks, Gloucester’s golf course and club.  East Gloucester is an embodiment of what Gloucester as a whole offers to the hundreds of thousands of people whom visit every summer.

West Gloucester

West Gloucester is the area of town that is in fact "ova the bridge".  It is the only part of Gloucester not located on the island itself.  Despite being almost a purely residential area, West Gloucester holds one major attraction for all residents.  Wingaersheek Beach.  Wingaersheek beach offers the beach experience as Good Harbor with smaller waves. This often makes Wingaersheek the preferred beach for families with small children. West Gloucester gives its residents the privacy they desire, while still keeping them close to the attractions on the island.
