Lanesville

Lanesville sits just further past Annisquam as Gloucester ends and Rockport begins.  Scenic Lanesville gives residents the neighborhood feel they desire as well as natural attractions for families.  Plum Cove and the park across the street is one such attraction.  Plum Cove sports a small public beach, baseball field, and recreational area for people in the area as well as the visitors that make use of the area. 

Deeper into residential Lanesville lies their downtown area of sorts. It composes of a small restaurant, a Liquor Store, as well as a couple small shops and galleries. During the summer Lanesville comes to life having its own community parade and bon fire.  The bon fire in particular is a large even where families enjoy the spectacle into the night. 

The environment provides local residents with plenty to do during the warmer months.  Lanesville is home of Gloucester’s quarries where residents find nice areas to go for walks and sometimes take a dip in the water.  Besides the quarries Lanesville has many protected coves and inlets where many find the perfect areas to scuba dive, fish, and kayak.
