West Gloucester and Magnolia
West Gloucester and Mangolia are quieter and more scenic parts of Gloucester. They are the only parts of Gloucester that are not "ova the bridge" as the locals like to say. West Gloucester is almost purely residential and gives its residents the house with a big back yard feel.
Despite being a quiet residential area, West Gloucester offers its residents many attractions, Wingaersheek Beach being the main attraction. Residents flock to the beach during the summer to get away from the heat. Wingaersheek beach has more child friendly waves than its sister Good Harbor. On the outskirts of West Gloucester residents have access to Stage Fort Park and Half Moon Beach. This is a perfect place to take the family out for a day of fun on the swing sets or a picnic.
West Gloucester also offers one of Gloucester residents’ favorite restaurants, The Causeway. The Causeway Restaurant is across the street from the Cape Ann Marina giving residents that do not have personal moorings on either the ocean or river to moor their boats.
Just next door to West Gloucester is Magnolia. Magnolia sports its own little downtown area. Complete with a Post Office, several restaurants, general store, and Magnolia Beach. The quiet subset of Gloucester lets residents feel away from it all with the ocean typically just steps away.
The stunning ocean views in Magnolia offers the oceanfront residents beautiful year round views from the privacy of their own home. It also offers that neighborhood feeling prospective home buyers often look for. Residents can enjoy the Magnolia Library which offers events constantly through the year. If that were not all enough, Magnolia offers its residents something truly unique, Hammond Castle. Hammond Castle was dissembled from Europe and brought stone by stone to Magnolia. It is a great historical piece of Magnolia and offers residents an especially thrilling Halloween season.
